Registered Radiology Technologist

Providence is calling a Registered Radiology Technologist (0.0 FTE, Rotating/Variable) to Providence Seaside Hospital in Seaside, OR.
In this position, you will:
+ Perform imaging examinations according to physicians' orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated imaging equipment, taking into account individual patient's special or age-related needs.
+ Utilize knowledge and judgment in regard to imaging factors, imaging technique and patient treatment needed to produce optimal images.
+ Perform all examinations with minimal radiation exposure to patient and operator with ALARA awareness.
+ Be competent in using specialized imaging equipment with all patient types;inpatient, outpatient, emergency, surgical suites and perform complexfluoroscopic procedures following sterile technique protocols; iIncludingperforming imaging studies with portable equipment on hospitalized patients.
Required qualifications for this position include:
+ Current certification by the American Registry Radiologic Technology (AART)
+ Current Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) as an Registered Technologist, Radiology (RT(R))
+ Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
+ Completion of pledge to Image Gently/Image Wisely within one month of hire
+ Expert knowledge of anatomy and physiology, imaging principles and practices, as well as the ability to obtain high-quality images
+ Adherence to appropriate professional credentialing practice standards
+ Computer skills and knowledge of keyboard functionality
+ Ability to read, write and speak English
+ Caregivers hired prior to 2003 are not required to have their ARRT

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
