Civil Project Manager/Team Lead

Otak's Gearhart office is currently accepting applications for a Civil Project Manager/Team Lead to support the office's engineering team for new and ongoing civil infrastructure and roadway/transportation design projects.
This position will be responsible for leading engineering staff and engaging in all aspects of Civil Engineering projects. Our team works with many communities around the area on a broad range of municipal and private projects. This position will be responsible for providing design expertise in the areas of transportation, public infrastructure, site development projects, and stormwater management. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and have an enthusiastic and team-oriented attitude.
Typical job responsibilities include:
Acting as the primary contact to the clients and design team throughout the duration of the project. This person has the primary responsibility to guide the client, subconsultants, and team through the entire process from the conceptual design stage through project closeout.
Planning, directing, and monitoring all aspects of civil engineering projects including proposal writing, planning assistance, survey coordination, design plans, contracts, specifications, cost estimates, managing invoices and budgets, and is ultimately responsible for the overall project performance and profitability.
Utilizing effective management skills and have the ability to plan, direct, and monitor project milestones and critical dates to identify potential risk of the project schedule. Identifies ways to resolve schedule issues and communicates with project team on any changes in the schedule.
Coordinating staffing plans and workload through the entire project development duration while meeting project schedules and budgets. Oversee project team members work to ensure compliance with project goals, contract requirements, and client expectations.
Participating in identifying new clients and opportunities to expand and grow the business.
Establishing strong client relationships in order to develop future business development activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 12 years of civil engineering project management experience with an emphasis on transportation, public infrastructure, drainage, utilities, site development, and civil projects for municipal and private clients.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited school.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in good standing at least in the State of Oregon.
2 years minimum experience in the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Ability to work successfully and complete complex civil engineering projects and work with multi-disciplinary design teams or individually inside and outside the organization.
Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Must have strong organizational and time management skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
