Chaplain - On Call Nights/Weekends

Providence is calling a Chaplain - On Call Nights/Weekends (0.0 FTE, Rotating/Variable) to Providence Seaside Hospital in Seaside, OR.
At Providence Seaside Hospital, we offer compassionate, affordable care for people of all ages, through all stages of life. Providence Seaside Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital with full accreditation by the Joint Commission that offers primary and specialty care, birth center with family suites, general surgery, radiology, diagnostic imaging, pathology and emergency medicine 24 hours/7 days a week.
In this position you will:
Provide spiritual and emotional support, guidance and crisis intervention to patients, their families, guests, volunteers, employees and physicians when called at night & on weekends.
Support the decision-makers with skills in medical ethics as applied to healthcare.
Due to the on-call nature of this position, candidates should be within a 30-minute response time to this location.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Advanced studies in theology, philosophy, divinity, spirituality or related field
Prior experience in pastoral ministry
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Undergraduate degree
Board Certification from either the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC), Association of Professional Chaplains (APC), National Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC), or Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC)
Training in crisis management/critical incident stress management
Spanish Speaking
Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) experience
Bereavement training and experience
Prior healthcare experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
