Registered Respiratory Therapist

Providence is calling a Registered Respiratory Therapist (0.6 FTE, Rotating/Variable Shift) to Providence Seaside Hospital in Seaside, OR.
In this position, you will:
Take exceptional care of people by providing independent coordination of respiratory care and implementation of respiratory care policy, procedure and/or protocols under the direction and supervision of a physician.
Apply advanced clinical expertise, scientific knowledge, and theory in the respiratory care of patients exercising independent judgment.
Function in a leadership capacity as charge therapist, patient assessor, preceptor and/or instructor as assigned.
Utilize decision-making skills and critical thinking abilities (analytical skills, problem-solving, and negotiation skills) while performing all duties.
Promote the safety and well being of all patients and supports the key result areas of Providence Health & Services (Clinical Quality, Service Excellence, Financial Performance and Positioning for the Future).
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of American Medical Association (AMA) approved School of Respiratory Therapy and/or an Associates Degree for Certified Respiratory Therapy (CRT)
Associates degree in respiratory therapy
Successful completion of the entry-level (CRT) exam
Licensed Respiratory Therapist in the State of Oregon
Licensed by Oregon State medical examiners
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
American Heart Association (AHA) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator (CPR/AED) Healthcare Provider
AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
AHA Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
0-1 year of experience and skills in basic computer/word processing
0-1 year of experience and excellent skills in verbal communication
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor degree in respiratory therapy
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
