Summary:
Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of office support duties, provides administrative and systems support.
This position professionally represents the District in interactions with community and staff while managing daily work pressures, requiring constant concentration to a volume of work which must be completed within a limited period of time.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Criminal history clearance (background check and HB 2062).
Proficiency in a variety of computer/technology skills and ability to learn new programs.
Excellent interpersonal communication and organization skills.
PREFERRED
Qualifications:
Two years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in working in public schools.
Spanish speaking skills.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Performs a wide variety of general office duties, including greeting district visitors, answering phones, typing, proof reading, distributing, filing and sorting and handling all incoming and outgoing mail.
Serves as support staff for Business Manager and Director of Curriculum and Instruction.
Completes computer data entry work, using District computer programs, to input a high volume of data with speed and accuracy, including confidential data, in an environment with constant interruptions.
Compiles and prepares reports while maintaining confidentiality for administration or outside agencies.
Gives information or direct visitors, parents and community members to appropriate contacts.
Prepares materials, attends, and take minutes for meetings as needed.
Types a variety of materials from brief verbal or written instructions.
Processes free and reduced meal applications, mails notification letters, files and organizes relevant data, and assists with verification process.
Provides support to individuals who have questions regarding the process and/or application status.
Provides support for Migrant Education and English Language Development programs.
Professionally represents the school and the District in interactions with community and staff.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
258 day work agreement at 1.
0 FTE (40 hours per week).
Based on current Confidential Work Agreement, salary ($19.
07 to $27.
40 per hour) with excellent benefits including Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance and Oregon state retirement.
Paid time off includes one sick day per month worked, three personal days and five vacation days, pro-rated per school year.
