The Health Information Management Manager will be in charge of maintaining and ensuring accuracy and quality of the legal medical record.
This involves keeping staff up to date with current best practices and making sure they are following guidelines set by the hospital in regards to submitting HCAI data.
In addition, the position will act as the Privacy Officer of the hospital, leading initiatives to keep the facility in good standing with state and federal policies and laws.
The Health Information Management Manager will also need to evaluate compliance with State Health Departments and Joint Commission from the Health Information perspective.
Most importantly, this role requires implementing clinical documentation programs that meet hospital expectations and standards.
